43-year-old man killed in Prince George crash

A deadly car crash in Prince George County killed a 43-year-old late Sunday night. Another man was sent to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.

The victim was identified as Christopher Winn of Chesterfield County. He was in the passenger seat next to the car’s driver, 60-year-old Johnny Gaskill. Gaskill went to the hospital with life threatening injuries. The two were driving a Chevy Camaro. Police believe speed and alcohol usage were major contributors to the crash.

The Prince George County Police Department responded to the crash on the 7100 block of Prince George Drive at 11:33 p.m. Police said the sedan was traveling southbound on Prince George Drive when it skidded off the right side of the roadway striking multiple stumps. The vehicle then crashed into a tree.

Neither Winn or Gaskill were wearing seatbelts.
